Huge crowds gathered around the rocks and beach at First Point in Noosa Heads for the 3pm event, ready to watch the hydro-hounds shred it up for the new 2018 Champion title.
With perfect conditions for the dogs and their humans, the official siren rang and eight dogs with their owners paddled out to the waves breaking just off the beach.
Chris and Rama were first to catch a wave, Luca surprised the crowd on a hydrofoil board, and teams including Jonesy, Opal and Hugsley, Pork Chops and Sam, Team IndiAnna, Chester, Bella, and more carved it up across the afternoon.
