Back in 2012, the first-ever VetShopAustralia Surfing Dog Championship began as a playful workshop in the calm waters of Noosa Dog Beach. Fast-forward to today and it has grown into one of the most loved events of the Noosa Festival of Surfing, drawing thousands of spectators to the shoreline each year.
Set against the crystal-clear waters of First Point, Noosa, Australia’s most talented hydro-hounds and their humans take to the waves in front of packed beachside crowds, turning the Sunshine Coast into the ultimate playground for surf-loving pups and their biggest fans.
From first-timers finding their paws to seasoned four-legged shredders chasing the perfect ride, the Surfing Dog Championships celebrates everything we love about coastal life: sunshine, community, surf culture and dogs living their absolute best lives.
