The lack of swell was not enough to deter thousands of eager spectators, with crowds travelling from as far as Switzerland to line Noosa Main Beach on Sunday, 1 March.
Sponsored by VetShopAustralia and Simparica, the ninth annual Surfing Dog Championships saw ten talented dogs and their owners take to the surf to battle it out for the coveted Best Wave Award.
Joining the field were crowd favourites and returning competitors, including Pork Chops, Spike, Kai, William, Woody, Rama, Banjo, Cooper and Sabi, with Sage the Acro dog entertaining the packed beach crowd with tricks.
