Sebazole is a medicated shampoo containing sulphur and sodium salicylate, which are well recognised in removing the scales and crusts associated with seborrhoea. This improves the penetration of econazole and chloroxylenol, which have broad-spectrum activity against fungi, yeasts and moulds.

Sebazole is the most effective product for the treatment of malassezia dermatitis in dogs and cats and is the treatment option of choice for localised fungal infections. For more generalised fungal infections it can form one of the approaches to successful treatment.
