Marsupial Feeding Guide:
Marsupials such as kangaroos, possums, wombats, koalas, bandicoots, carnivorous marsupials, and monotremes (echidna and platypus) have specific feeding needs.
For optimal immunity, it is recommended to feed Impact to pouch-bound marsupials within the first week of care. Immunity transferred through maternal milk diminishes significantly after 7 days and may be completely depleted by 4-6 weeks.
Impact can be administered either as a daily Maintenance Dose or a short-term Concentrated Dose:
Maintenance Dose: Mix 1g of Impact powder (approximately 1 moderately heaped spoon) per 100mL of milk fed, daily as needed. This regimen serves as a preventive measure, providing a consistent low-dose of immune support throughout care.
Concentrated Dose: Mix 5g of Impact powder (approximately 5 moderately heaped spoons) per 100mL of milk fed. Administer for up to 5 days, every 4 weeks as required. Ensure joeys are well-hydrated before feeding. This dose is suitable for newly arrived animals, those in poor health or stress, or just before the first pouch emergence (Wombaroo Age Factor of 0.6).
